DETTAGLI TAPPE (in inglese)
Stage 1: Oslo, NORVEGIA - 13km
The first stage takes place at Holmenkollen, home to Norway’s most visited attraction and the world’s most modern ski jump. This stage is hilly and mostly run on gravel tracks in a forest. But you will be rewarded with stunning views of Oslo beneath you. This stage starts and finishes at the cross-country ski World Cup Stadium.
Stage 2: Lysekil, SVEZIA - 9km
The second stage will be run in the heart of the spectacular Swedish west coast archipelago. This stage starts on asphalt and continues on dirt trails, wooden boardwalks by the harbour and then rocks. Note that the rocky part of the route can be tricky as it's easy to slip and twist your ankle. So tread with care!
Stage 3: Båstad, SVEZIA - 9.4km
The third stage brings you to one of Sweden’s most diverse peninsulas. Soaring cliffs, charming farm houses, flowering meadows and shingle beaches provide the setting for this stage. Half of the route is run on asphalt. The route is a figure eight loop with the start and finish areas being at the same place. There is a steep descent to a rocky shingle beach where runners should be extra careful. The last stretch is a sharp ascent up a dirt track to the start/finish which can be slippery if wet. There are no railings to hold onto, so care must be exercised here as well.
Stage 4: Kronborg Castle, Elsinore, DANIMARCA - 7.5km
This is the flattest stage of the race. Throughout most of the 7.5km of this stage, you'll have panoramic views of Kronborg, also known as Hamlet's castle. Starting on asphalt, the route takes runners onto a sandy beach, back onto asphalt followed by gravel paths on the castle grounds. The route loops around the castle twice. Flat and scenic! Stage
5: Roskilde, DANIMARCA - 11km
Starting at the UNESCO-listed Roskilde cathedral, runners are led out of town along beautiful lanes and streets with thatch-roofed cottages on both sides of the road. Reach Boserup forest and dirt trails and gravel paths take runners further towards the coast onto the beach where the sea is on your left and the forest is on your right. The route continues along a single track back towards Roskilde. Running through the harbour, this stage ends at the Viking Ship museum.
